Key Responsibilities
- Execute and monitor individualized plans of care as established by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring adherence to established protocols and patient objectives.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapies, modifying interventions as needed based on real-time patient feedback and responses.
- Instruct patients on their rehabilitation exercises and the appropriate use of therapeutic equipment, ensuring they understand their role in the recovery process.
- Document and complete thorough patient care and billing documentation, securing necessary sign-offs from the supervising Physical Therapist in accordance with organizational policies.
- Act as a vital communication link between patients and Physical Therapists, relaying any patient concerns, progress updates, and treatment modifications as warranted.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during all treatment sessions, demonstrating empathy and support throughout the rehabilitation journey.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to enhance department functionality and patient care delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Precision Meridian Health, you will serve a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and those undergoing oncology rehabilitation. Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and graduation from a recognized Physical Therapist Assistant Program are required.
- A minimum of one year of professional experience in a clinical setting is essential to ensure competence in delivering high-quality patient care.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of New York is mandatory.
- Certification as a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) or a willingness to obtain such certification is preferred, especially due to our focus on cancer rehabilitation.

- Experience in oncology rehabilitation is highly regarded and will be beneficial in providing specialized care to our patients.

Compensation and Benefits
