We are a small business in a close nit community, looking for a practitioner that can step in with enthusiasm, energy and a smile! Our clinic see's a wide variety of cases, anywhere from post-op patients referred to us from a neighboring practice, local student athletes, orthopedic and neuro patients. The Physical therapist we are looking for should be well versed and knowledgeable in the field of Physical Therapy.
Provides skilled physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.
Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending follow-up programs.
Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.
Maintain patient records confidentially.
Records treatment charges daily and completes charge tickets in accurate and timely manner.
Supervises and directs Physical Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Aides in direct patient care and related activities as requested.
Complies with the Texas Physical Therapy Practice Act, codes and regulations
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
Maintain work area, exam rooms and supplies.
Maintain professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
Follows all of The Doctors Clinic policies and procedures.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and management.
Keep regular clinic hours as approved by Manager.
Attends meetings as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
Or Graduated from accredited PTA Program
Must have a active TX state PT or PTA license.
Previous clinical experience in outpatient rehab with preferred experience in sports rehab.
Ability to work in a fact paced environment while handling varied cases.
Communication is key, we need someone exceptional listening skills that can clearly and concisely communicate with staff and patients alike.
